Here we are, once again, on the cusp of another new year. All of us at Aeroseal LLC hope that the past twelve months have treated you, your business and your family well and that the year ahead is looking bright. As we look back on 2014, we can’t help but smile and feel proud of what’s been accomplished. So, with that in mind, I thought this would be a perfect time to review some of the highlights of 2014.
By all measurements Aeroseal had a banner year in 2014. Aeroseal was used to seal well over 8,500 duct systems this year, saving homeowners and property managers tens of thousands of dollars in reduced energy costs. Aeroseal technology proved time and again to be a project saving solution for hospitals, schools, office buildings and other commercial properties. It’s gained new heights of awareness among engineers and contractors across the globe and its quickly evolving from a novelty solution into mainstream use for a growing number of HVAC professionals.
Word of Aeroseal spread to Abu Dhabi where it was used to seal the duct work at the international city’s state-of-the-art Arzanah medical center.
Earlier this year, Licking Heights elementary school in central Ohio found Aeroseal reduced leakage by 27,500 CFM and is now saving the school district more than $45,000/year in reduced energy costs.
And Aeroseal made an energy-saving believer out of the owners of the Capital Plaza hotel in Frankfort, Kentucky where it was used to seal ductwork leaks and reduce overall energy costs by about $24,000/year.
On the residential-front, Aeroseal was used by homeowners across the country and around the world. In Boston, one family had their Aeroseal project documented and shared with viewers of Ask This Old House.
Aeroseal also received lots of awards and industry recognition in 2014. From the Editor’s Choice at this year’s Greenbuild Expo, to the ACHR News’ Dealer Design Award to the Product Showcase Award from Contracting Business Magazine, the technology and the impact that it can have on the success of HVAC businesses was touted by industry watchers everywhere.
The new dynamic duo – Aeroseal’s Amit Gupta and Brendan Reid of CI
One of the industry’s biggest stories this year, was Aeroseal LLC’s acquisition of The Comfort Institute. The partnership of these two powerhouse leaders marks a real milestone for anyone interested in Home Performance and energy savings.
The technology was also embraced by several key industry groups, helping confirm what the experts have been saying since this unique approach to duct sealing was first introduced, “Aeroseal is one of the most effective and cost effective things that can be done to a home or building to increase comfort and reduce energy waste.”
In 2014 Aeroseal was added to Underwriters Laboratories’ list of approved duct sealing solutions. The technology was also included in the latest ANSI/BPI updates and the National Green Building Standard (NGBS) list of approved products. In a list of green solutions compiled by the Federal Government, Aeroseal was ranked as one of the top three most effective HVAC solutions available for reducing energy waste.
Oh yes, this has been a good year for Aeroseal and anyone concerned about sustainable living. What’s even more exciting is that there are some exciting plans coming together for 2015. You’ll want to bookmark this blog or subscribe to our Facebook page, Twitter account or Goggle Plus to ensure you are one of the first to hear the news.
In the meantime, all of us at Aeroseal wish to thank every one of our dealers and all of our other partners. Thank you for your hard work in 2014 and heres to a great year ahead.
