Meet Kat: A Production Supervisor Leading By Example
As a team leader, Kat takes employees under her wing so they, too, can grow and eventually become a leader.
She takes this responsibility seriously and uses motivational tactics that allow the team to push themselves and achieve goals they’ve set.

Kat is a Production Supervisor in Aeroseal’s Operations Division. She started at Aeroseal in February 2020. And while she worked as a team leader at her previous employer, she felt something was missing. Kat missed interacting with a team and a broader community, focused on a collective success. Kat knows this direct engagement is key to helping others grow. And during her time at Aeroseal, she’s found her perfect fit.
Achieving Work/Life Harmony
Kat values the flexibility Aeroseal has introduced into her life. It’s helped her reach what she calls a work/life harmony. “Work/life balance isn’t realistic or even ideal,” she says.
“Working at Aeroseal, I got my life back and an opportunity to help others succeed with their work.”
This flexibility is a plus to anyone. But as a mother of five children, it’s essential to Kat. She no longer feels she has to put her job over them. She has her evenings and weekends back while working hard with her Aeroseal team.
She’s also comfortable with talking about her life outside of work with her colleagues and hearing about their families so she can get to know them more. “You get what you give at Aeroseal. It helps you achieve that harmony.”

Kat begins her mornings with a team meeting to help the team stay on top of tasks required to hit their time-sensitive goals. This involves specific details for each system order. She describes the job like a puzzle. Everyone needs to know all the pieces so they can see the bigger picture of what Aeroseal is doing and how her team is critical to this success.
And with this regular communication, each team member grows through understanding exactly what’s required for everyone’s success.
