Aeroseal’s Summer 2022 Intern Class Joins the Climate Change Fight
Class of 14 students to learn and help across the company
Aeroseal’s internship class of 2022 is already immersed in an explorative and interactive experience. A total of 14 students are applying what they acquired academically to help them develop their individual careers of choice. At the same time, the class is helping Aeroseal advance its mission to decarbonize the world’s buildings.
Zeroing in on nine departments across the company, each intern brings a different perspective to their teams. Here’s an overview of how the students plan to help Aeroseal and their diverse goals for this experience.
Zachary Fernandez: Zachary just finished his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Dayton. Since his favorite class at UD was digital controls, he was looking for an internship that would allow him to actively work with controls – cue Aeroseal’s Electrical Engineering internship. “A characteristic I look for in a company is full honesty – I like hard truth instead of dancing around an issue so we can fix it fast.”
Jacob Heidenry: Jacob majors in Marketing with an emphasis in insight selling at the University of Dayton. He will be working as the Sales Development intern with AeroBarrier. Jacob is excited to sharpen his sales knowledge while learning more about a growing, sustainable company. “I look forward to building new and lasting relationships with AeroBarrier and prospective builders.”
Charles Kumar: Charles is striving towards his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Dayton. He is set to graduate in the fall. Charles will be the Mechanical Engineering intern this summer. “I want to deliver the best by learning from the best and aligning my skills with emerging technologies.”
Rileigh Lefever: As a rising senior at Wilmington College, Rileigh studies Mathematics. She will be the Customer Support/Administrative intern this summer. She was looking for an organization that would “allow growth and development and support me – not only as an employee but also as a person.” Rileigh believes this internship will help her figure out what she wants to do in the future.
Jennifer Long: A former resident of Iceland and Japan, Jennifer joins us as the Accounting intern. She attends Waynesburg University and is studying Forensic Accounting and Finance. “I was interested in learning more about accounting to apply it in a work field.” In the future, Jennifer wants to pursue her life dream of becoming an FBI agent.
McKayla Boldt: Born in Scotland, McKayla studies Business Management at Cedarville University. She is joining us as the Customer Development intern. From a company culture perspective, she believes the ability to trust management and teammates is critical. When asked about her prospective career path, McKayla said, “I see myself working one job versus the 2-3 jobs I work now!”
Hannah Weber: Hannah studies Marketing and Management at the University of Dayton. She will be the Customer Development intern. Since she minors in sustainability, she was drawn to Aeroseal’s mission. “I love the idea of working for a company that has made a commitment to the environment.” And to Hannah, it is essential that a company is inviting and invested in everyone’s success.
Gracie King: Gracie studies Graphic Design at the University of Dayton. She decided to try for the Graphic Design internship because she saw the friendly atmosphere here. Painting is one of Gracie’s favorite hobbies. She would like to begin her career as a brand designer and, someday, “I hope to start my own painting business – I love painting pets,” turning her hobby into a career with an entrepreneurial outlook.
Tej Patel: Tej goes to Rutgers University and studies Supply Chain Management with a concentration in Management Information Systems. After seeing the vision and opportunity at Aeroseal, he decided to join us as the Supply Chain and Operations intern. “I knew I wanted to have my first internship experience here.” Looking ahead, Tej would like to go straight into his MBA studies. In his words, “I want to do something impactful to the world and meaningful to myself.”
Jeet Patel: Born in Kenya, Jeet studies Mechanical Engineering at Wright State University. He will be the Estimation and Application Engineering intern. He sees himself working and learning this summer and is looking forward to engaging with professionals.
Cooper Koch: Cooper is studying Electrical Engineering at Ohio Northern University. This summer, he will be the Technical Support intern. He sees this as his opportunity to gain field experience by working in a team environment and learning the ins and outs of Aeroseal.
Abigail Greene: Abigail attends Wright State University and is studying Business and HR Management. She will be the Commercial Sales intern. One of her professors recommended Aeroseal and, after researching it on her own, she saw that it was a close and fast-growing company. “I was seeking a company with a welcoming, hard-working culture that works individually and as a team to grow and succeed.”
Kaleb Marshall: Ohio State football fan, Kaleb studies Electrical Engineering at OSU. His goal is to gain experience in R&D and he sees Aeroseal’s R&D internship as the perfect opportunity to do this. He is passionate about getting involved in design and test work that has a worldwide impact. He would like to settle into an organization early on in his career that he could remain at for many years. “I think it is important for companies to promote communication to enhance employee experiences.”
Trisha Gupta: Trisha goes to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She studies Systems Engineering and Design and was seeking an R&D internship to see it in action. “I came to Aeroseal to get hands-on experience and learn about product development.” She values teamwork and wants to work in a fast-paced environment. Someday, Trisha would like to lead a product development team.
We welcome everyone joining us this summer as they help Aeroseal with its mission. Here’s to what they will learn and what they will also teach Aeroseal!
