Aeroseal Highlighted Ahead of COP28 Climate Change Conference
“We’re not hitting all of the near-term targets for reducing emissions, and that’s definitely concerning.” – Bill Gates
Bill Gates, Microsoft Cofounder and philanthropist, addressed his three 3 million YouTube followers ahead of his involvement in COP28. The COP, or Conference of Parties, is a key decision-making body within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) aimed at addressing climate change and its impacts. The conference is set to be a pivotal event where the global community evaluates its journey with the Paris Agreement. COP28 began November 30 and will last through Tuesday December 12 in Expo City, Dubai.
In this new video, Gates starts with a grim statistic on how efforts to reduce emissions are not on track, but quickly shifts to the innovations he sees worldwide, highlighting companies that are making a positive impact on reducing emissions at the source. Aeroseal is honored to receive recognition from Gates for the second consecutive year ahead of this pivotal conference, underscoring our commitment to carbon reduction. Aeroseal’s recognition stems from our contribution to enhancing both commercial and home energy efficiency, and Gates sees Aeroseal as a critical part of the climate change solution. Additionally, we are proud to announce that Aeroseal will have a presence COP28, actively contributing to the global dialogue.
Aeroseal considers it a tremendous achievement to be recognized for solving the problem of air leakage from buildings and its impact on the environment. Buildings currently account for a staggering 40% of all energy produced globally. This cannot continue indefinitely. The leakage from ductwork and building envelopes alone wastes 50% of that energy. It’s a problem that affects us all, and we must change the way we construct and retrofit our structures. Aeroseal is the only company that can machine-seal leaky ductwork and building envelopes.
It’s clear that the urgency voiced by Bill Gates resonates globally. Aeroseal is committed to sealing the gaps in our buildings, and in tandem with other climate innovators worldwide, is dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and to building a world where energy efficiency and environmental responsibility come together. Aeroseal’s solution not only ensures more efficient and comfortable buildings, but also paves the way for a sustainable planet for generations to come.
