What’s the Inflation Reduction Act All About?
In August 2022, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) into law. A milestone bill in American history that will tackle the many climate challenges we face daily.
In the recent webinar, Aeroseal’s Vice President of Product Strategy, Bob Swilik, presents the important details on the IRA, which has allocated $369 billion to climate change solutions.
One challenge with this new bill is the uncertainty of interpretation. With the overwhelming slew of information that comes with it, it’s important to note what applies to you and what doesn’t.
The Rundown
The webinar breaks down the incentives for services included in the IRA, such as duct sealing or appliance electrification.
- Up to $1,200 in homeowner tax credit for duct sealing and other HVAC services.
- HEEHRA Rebate program rebate, which includes $1,600 for duct sealing
- $8,000 for a heat pump for space heating or cooling
- $1,600 for insulation, duct sealing, and ventilation
By educating your customers about the current incentives available in the Inflation Reduction Act, you can drastically reduce the cost of their project without impacting your bottom line. Don’t let your customers leave money on the table during their next installation or duct sealing.
